AgroVisioners is a team of Visionaries empowering a new generation of organic urban farmers to address climate challenges that pose a significant threat to our global food system. By transforming urban spaces into productive food sources, using our innovative approach that combines cutting-edge technologies with organic practices we can maximize yields, minimize environmental impact, and deliver high-quality organic fresh food.
Solution: With a projected output of diverse organic crops annually in 300 m2, our project demonstrates the scalability and profitability of organic vertical farming. By utilizing cutting-edge technology and organic practices, the project aims to disrupt traditional agriculture and drive innovation in the sector.
Target location: Our vertical farming system can be deployed in various locations. Rooftops offer untapped potential, maximizing sunlight and minimizing land usage in urban areas.
Advancement : Our proposed project advances beyond the state-of-the-art in several ways:
1) Zero-carbon approach : By harnessing renewable energy minimizing electricity up to 75%, reduce water need up to 98% and incorporating natural materials like bamboo, known for its exceptional carbon sequestration capabilities, the project minimizes its environmental footprint. This innovative approach optimizes resource use, reduces waste, and contributes to a more sustainable future.
2) Bio-Organic food production : The focus on organic practices ensures that the food is produced without harmful chemicals, promoting human health and environmental sustainability.
3) Scalability model: The project's scalability vertical farming system allows for flexible expansion and reduces reliance on centralized infrastructure.
4) Zero Waste: At the end of each season, all waste (soil, roots, stems, leaves) is recycled and decomposed with earthworms to produce a new nutrient-rich compost for the next season, reducing the need for additional costs.
