AgruvStudios was founded in 2009 by Alex Quintana, a.k.a AGRUV, in Orange County, CA and later moved to Los Angeles in 2010. Agruv has been writing and playing music since 2001 and also plays multiple instruments, which include piano, bass, and guitar. Agruv has played with a several local bands out of Orange County, where he has learned to hone his skills as a musician. Since 2006, Agruv’s compositions have changed directions and reached new heights in hip-hop production and subsequently led to the creation of AgruvStudios in early 2009.
After releasing his first album in mid 2009, several aspiring hip-hop artists out of Orange County have asked to collaborate with Agruv on their upcoming albums. As other artists begin to see the value that Agruv brings to the studio, they have begun to enlist him on their own projects. Agruv is currently working on two forthcoming albums with these artists, which was released in early 2010. Although much of Agruv’s time is devoted to the recording and mixing of these albums, he still finds time to: compose new music to be sold through online sites; score music for film; compose corporate projects; and network with other movers and shakers in the industry.
