AgShop platform

AgShop is a Marketplace (online and physics store) developed by Bioengineering and Agri-Business Consulting (BAC) for the marketing of quality Agricultural inputs (seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, etc.) for smallholder farmers. In Niger, the input market is dominated by the informal actors providing mostly poor quality products. Farmers little income, the remoteless of the villages or to lack of access to information (advice) are key challenges in right inputs access— due to a poor national agricultural advice system. The creation of AgShop aims to facilitate the access to quality/right inputs and in small quantities but also advisory services to smallholder farmers in Niger. AgShop is also a platform allowing stakeholders in Agriculture to access relevant and credible information on inputs (availability, characteristics, use, trends, etc.). As marketplace. BAC allow external professional agrodealers to sell their products.
