In a context of resources scarcity, it is fondamental to allow french farmers to innovate more, more often and faster. We found that diffusion of innovation was crucial if we are to let french agriculture make a leap forward.
Our project is a world tour about innovation in agriculture aiming in particular at deciphering the trends in precision agriculture.
The founding principle of the AgTechTour is to allow french farmers to innovate more, more often and faster by discovering the rare French and international gems of innovation.
During the AgTechTour we will meet with 30 various Innovactors, AgTech builders, in 8 countries, including France for a month. Our ambition is to create international bridges with producers, technicians and innovation managers. The Tour will begin on March 2019 for 7 months of exploration. Our itinerary will lead us to :
- France : to establish clearer guidelines on how to determine the replicability of foreign innovation in France
- The Netherlands : for its highly efficient AgTech innovation ecosystem
- Israël : Environmental constraints and technological development foster the most disruptive innovations in agriculture
- Kenya and Ivory Coast : One country is rooted in english culture and the other in the french one. The potential for agriculture development is overwhelming
- Argentina and Brasil : In the world trade battle both countries are investing a lot in making their agriculture competitive
- The United States (San Francisco, Saint Louis, New York) : The top country for food exportation, the playground for innovators is unlimited.
