Azerbaijan Hazelnut Exporters Consortium or shortly "AHEC" was established in Zagatala region of Azerbaijan in 2015. The consortium acts as an exporting service to Azerbaijani hazelnut-producing companies and currently operates the exports of 3 hazelnut factories in Zagatala and 2 hazelnut factories in Khachmaz region of Azerbaijan. AHEC holds ISO 22000: Food Safety Management Certificate in hazelnut production and delivery, certified by German DAKKS.
In last 2017/2018 season, AHEC exported nearly 2500 tons of hazelnut kernels abroad, particularly to Germany, Italy, Russia and Middle East countries. Each year the AHEC becomes an exhibitor in food exhibitions: Sial Paris, Anuga Cologne and WorldFood Moscow.
