The Australian Health Promotion Association (AHPA®) is Australia's peak body for health promotion, and the nation's only professional association for people working and interested in the field of health promotion. AHPA seeks to advance the health of all people in Australia. Our vision is for a healthy, equitable Australia. We are committed to health equity, innovative and evidence-informed approaches, ethical practice, and collaboration. For over 30 years AHPA has provided strategic and operational leadership for health promotion and prevention in Australia. Together with over 1,000 members and subscribers from a broad range of sectors, AHPA delivers leadership, advocacy and workforce development for health promotion practice, policy, research and teaching. The Association: - Has branches in every State and Territory and a wide range of working groups and committees - publishes the Health Promotion Journal of Australia. - is the National Accreditation Organisation for the International Union for Health Promotion and Education (IUHPE) in Australia and manages workforce registration.
