American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics Aerospace Cybersecurity Working Group (AIAA ACWG)

The Aerospace Cybersecurity Working Group (ACWG) leads the aerospace community across the unified aviation and space domains to integrate cybersecurity fully as an aspect of mission assurance on par with quality, reliability, and safety. ACWG focuses on the following: A. INTEGRATE PRACTICES: ACWG integrates cybersecurity as a mission assurance aspect of aerospace systems engineering and operations, with a primary focus on ensuring mission success, to prevent harm to life, property, and aerospace-centric critical infrastructure services vital to the public. B. MOTIVATE LEADERS: ACWG leads aerospace cybersecurity by promoting the vigorous ownership and adoption of cybersecurity by aerospace leaders in academia, business, and government through the full range of AIAA programming and products. C. CURATE KNOWLEDGE: ACWG curates cybersecurity knowledge for the benefit of the aerospace community, striving to provide access to authoritative aerospace cybersecurity information for traditional stakeholders as well as entities not traditionally part of the aerospace community such as cybersecurity researchers and practitioners. D. TEACH CYBERSECURITY: ACWG guides the education and training communities to produce aerospace cybersecurity-competent leaders. E. SHAPE POLICY: ACWG recommends guiding government and industry strategic decision-makers toward a prioritized agenda that promotes sound cybersecurity aerospace policy and elevates cybersecurity practice in aerospace.
