About Aida4Edge
Twinning for Excellence in Adaptive Edge AI - AIDA4Edge project aims to enable the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, University of Niš (FEEUNI) to achieve scientific and innovative excellence in the field of Edge AI through the networking with leading European institutions – the Leibniz Institute for High Performance Microelectronics (IHP), University of Manchester (UoM), and University of Ferrara (UNIFE). Twinning for Excellence in Adaptive Edge AI (AIDA4Edge) is funded by EU under GA 101160293 HORIZON-WIDERA-2023-ACCESS-02 The University of Manchester (UoM) receives funding from the UKRI (United Kingdom Research and Innovation). The research behind the project leverages the accuracy of Artificial Neural Networks and the energy efficiency of brain-inspired Spiking Neural Networks, empowered by AI accelerators, to deploy AI on resource-constrained edge devices. Through knowledge transfer and the exchange of best practice, AIDA4Edge aims to comprehensively enhance FEEUNI’s performance by strengthening networking activities, raising reputation, improving research profile and attractiveness, and reinforcing research management and administrative capabilities. The project also strives to establish a sustainable framework for increasing the number of active researchers, with a particular focus on supporting women scientists and young researchers, fostering new projects initiatives, and driving research and economic growth in Serbia.
