AiMS Environmental (est. 1993) is an environmental consulting firm which combines over 50 years of collective experience and expertise in the fields of geoenvironmental and industrial engineering. AiMS caters to the real estate industry working with residential, commercial and industrial property Owners, realtors, managers, developers, banks and other financial institutions, architects and other consultants. Our engineers and technicians are actively involved in conducting environmental site reconnaissance, subsurface investigations, environmental testing and inspection services, including Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and Site Remediation Investigations for all your pre-purchase due diligence, property transfer and financing and/or refinancing requirements. AiMS is also qualified to carry-out Phase One ESAs to the Ministry of the Environment Regulation 153/04 - the Record of Site Condition (RSC) Regulation. In addition, AiMS' services include: -Oversight of underground storage tank removals -Contaminated soils cleanup inspections and groundwater remediation management -Designated hazardous substances inspections and testing -Asbestos evaluations and reporting and air monitoring for abatement -Indoor air vapour intrusion assessment -Subsurface to indoor vapour mitigation systems design In particular, AiMS specializes in Brownfields consulting. Brownfields or contaminated real estate can pose special challenges for property transfer, rezoning, redevelopment or financing. AiMS provides specialized support services related to Brownfields, which can range from peer reviews of reports prepared by other consultants, through managing a Risk Assessment Study for sites that cannot be practically cleaned up by conventional means, establishing in-place monitoring programs for groundwater contamination, and expert witness and litigation support services for property disputes regarding pollution.
