About AI Policy Case Competition
The AI Policy Case Competition is an initiative housed at Stanford that introduces students from diverse academic and professional backgrounds to the world of AI policymaking, ranging from public policy to engineering to law. Through the case competition, students will join forces to tackle complex and pressing policy issues at the intersection of the emerging Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies and society. The goal of the competition is to promote a comprehensive understanding of AI governance by encouraging approaches that could shape real-world policymaking. Each participating team will analyze selected case scenarios, and draw on their collective expertise to devise innovative and well-researched policy solutions. The winning team will have the opportunities of receiving mentorship from pioneering practitioners on the Board of Judges, potentially impacting public sector and private sector AI-related policies with their crafted policy solutions.
