Air Uganda is a member of the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development (AKFED) and has been in operation since November 2007. Air Uganda is also a member of Celestair Group, with sister airlines in West Africa: Air Burkina and Air Mali, and in Europe: Meridian Fly. In December 2012, Air Uganda attained the highest safety standard in the airline industry, the IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) Certification.
