Diseases such as malaria, tuberculosis and diarrhea, which are treatable and curable if timely detected, are among the main causes of death in low- and middle-income countries. For many diseases, diagnosis still relies on traditional optical microscopy, which requires trained staff and is resource- and time-consuming.
In AiScope, we are a community of passionate people with different backgrounds who believe that Science and Technology must help people. With this aim in mind, we started a project in 2017 to improve the life of thousands by creating an open source diagnosis tool. This is why we are involved in different projects and developing AI Scope, a non-profit, Open-source, smart microscope which uses AI to improve the diagnosis of the deadliest infectious diseases, focusing in low resources areas and remote communities.
