AIST Pittsburgh Chapter - Association for Iron & Steel Technology

The Association of Iron and Steel Engineers (AISE) Pittsburgh District Section was formed in 1914. The Iron and Steel Society's (ISS) Pittsburgh Local Section was formed in 1981. In 2004, AISE and ISS merged to form AIST. The AISE Pittsburgh District Section and the ISS Pittsburgh Local Sections merged to form the AIST Pittsburgh Member Chapter. The AIST Pittsburgh Member Chapter is currently the second largest of all of the member chapters, boasting a member count of more than 1,400 local members. AIST is committed to presenting superior technical meetings, conferences, exhibits and publications to better serve those involved in the iron and steel community, including steel manufacturers, suppliers, consumers and academics. AIST Vision: To be a global leader in networking, education and sustainability programs for advancing iron and steel technology.
