AIYD2: Advocacy Initiative for Youth Development

We are the Advocacy Initiative for Youth Development, AdIYD2, a grassroots organization created and led by refugees in the Kakuma refugee camp. The organization offers Fit-for-Purpose programs to train the Youths in Digital Literacy and Soft skills for Employment: 1) ICT Skills training for Livelihoods: Basic and Advanced Computer Applications, Mobile Apps, Freelancing, and Digital Entrepreneurship, 2) Soft Skills for Livelihoods: Leadership, Peace and Conflict Resolution; Peace and Conflict Resolution Outreach, and 4) Street Business Management. The programs have positively impacted the lives of more than 2400 youths in Kakuma Refugee Camp and Kalobeyei settlement in becoming self-reliant and increasing Job placement opportunities.
