Hi, I’m Alyssa Kushner (she/her), a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, holistic trauma therapist, and founder of AK Psychotherapy!
I specialize in working with adults who are navigating the lingering effects of relational trauma, people-pleasing, anxious attachment, codependency, perfectionism, and burnout - often the “high-functioning” ones who look like they have it all together on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck on the inside.
I take a holistic, compassionate, and trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety and trust. Our work might include EMDR, somatic tools, mindful self-compassion, inner child work, or nervous system regulation - always grounded in the therapeutic relationship first.
