Founded in San Jose in 1970, AKH Structural Engineers, Inc. has been engaged in providing structural design services for our many clients in the greater San Francisco Bay Area for four decades, completing more than 5,500 projects after opening its offices.
Since its inception, AKH has provided the structural designs for many Municipal, Educational, Hospital and Medical facilities, as well as for many of the Bay Area's numerous Technical, Industrial, Research, Retail and Office buildings. And with long-time involvement in the SF Bay Area communities, AKH has also provided structural analysis and rehabilitation services for many of the area's municipalities and companies, helping to maintain the Bay Area's sense of history and stability while providing for safe and modern facilities throughout.
In addition to AKH's vast and varied commercial experience, our size also allows for the efficient and responsive design of custom residences for the Bay Area's discriminating Architects and owners.
AKH has always been involved in plan check services for the majority of municipalities in the South Bay Area, helping to maintain a finger on the pulse of advancing building technologies and constantly evolving Building Code development.
