We were honored as the winner of the Women Empowerment Principles Award 2024, organized by UN Women, in the SME Champion category.

A CRAFT FACTORY IN 2025
We are about to build a Christmas factory, allowing us to grow our impact by expanding our team from 8 to 14 women and inviting you to experience our 'Cultural Lodges.'
It’s a new way to explore culture—centered around the community rather than traditional customer service.
The Factory will include:
• A workshop
• A traditional restaurant
• One or two Cultural Lodges
• Nightly storytelling sessions
• A library and children's game corner
• A popcorn corner!
• The most beautiful Christmas tree in Chiang Rai!
OUR VISION
Akha Ma-De aims to become a hub for preserving Akha culture with:
• A department documenting Akha culture (recipes, family books, storybooks…)
• A fund to support Akha children in pursuing higher education
• The translations of classic stories into the Akha language
• An incubator program for hilltribe entrepreneurs
• A line of culturally-inspired fashion clothing
• English and Akha language classes
• An annual hilltribe festival
