AKIN LABORATORIES PVT. LTD was incorporated in 1975. The day-to-day running of the Company is controlled by Mr. A. ARUN RAO (Executive Director), B.Tech., M.S. (Chemical Engineering) who has over 34 years’ experience in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. It started as a Small Scale Industry to provide manufacturing activities for major Multinational Companies like Warner Hindustan Ltd. (now a part of Pfizer Inc.). Slowly the facilities were expanded to cater to the requirement of other large Indian and Multinational companies. Some of the companies for whom we have manufactured on loan licence include Pfizer India, Uni-Chem Laboratories Ltd., Duphar Interfran, John Wyeth Ltd., Aristo Labs Ltd. and Astra-IDL Ltd. Currently Akin manufacture's for A. Menarini India Ltd, Sanzyme Pvt Ltd (formerly known as Uni-Sankyo), Elan Pharma India ( Pvt) Ltd and Piramal Enterprises Limited.
Being associated with many large multi-national and Indian companies has given an excellent exposure to the current Good Manufacturing Practices. The company has a high level of quality awareness. It has a full-fledged Quality Assurance and Quality Control Laboratory. The facilities are subject to regular quality audits by the Principals.
We currently have 2 units in Hyderabad and currently cater to the domestic market. We have in the past exported products to Nigeria, Kenya and some other African countries.
In one Unit, We are into manufacturing of Ayurvedic products (pain balm and Liniment) (dedicated facility). We have over 25 years of experience in manufacturing these products.
In the other unit, we have most of the products manufactured are with Probiotics in various dosage forms like Dry syrup, Capsules, Tablets and Sachets.
We have been in the manufacturing of probiotics (formulations) for more than 20 years. We currently manufacture probiotics as drugs and food (FSSAI License). We have a ISO 9001: 2015 certificate for manufacture and marketing of Probiotics.
