AKO Engineers have been involved in projects within New Zealand and Australia. It brings with it experiences from large to small business, public to private,, plus working as a client / consultant / designer and a contractor.
Project highlights include the GWRT (desalination of wastewater for drinking water aquifer recharge for Water Corporation of WA, Shotover wastewater treatment plant upgrade for QLDC, W2W Alliance (AU$370m WWT projects over 5 years) for Water Corporation of WA, East Rockingham WWTP (Greenfield) for Water Corporation of WA, Te Awamutu WWTP Upgrade for Waipa District Council.
Lead by Robin Knowles, with his B.E. Hons (Mech), NZCE (mech) and his Graduate Diploma in Management, and is a CPEng Engineer (in both Mechanical and Water). Having completed several IWES courses on wastewater treatment and membrane technology. Robin has also been involved in equipment supplier specific courses, learning design / operational and fault finding methods.
AKO brings together a group of resources specific to the project requirements and works very closely with other small companies to reduce client costs and tailor projects delivery.
