Vision To revitalise and contemporise India’s diverse cultural heritage through sustained engagement with the performing arts, literature, and traditional knowledge systems, enabling creative expression rooted in critical thought and aesthetic rigour. Mission Our mission is to create platforms—both performative and intellectual—for the advancement and preservation of India’s performing arts and cultural expressions. We seek to foster dialogue between tradition and innovation through research, performances, publications, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Objectives • To organise conferences, seminars, and workshops that promote serious inquiry into India’s classical, folk, and contemporary art forms. • To publish books, journals, and multimedia content that support original research, translations, and documentation in the fields of arts, culture, and aesthetics. • To build interdisciplinary networks between scholars, performers, cultural practitioners, and institutions across India and beyond. • To support and curate performances, festivals, and residencies that foreground artistic integrity, experimentation, and rootedness in tradition. • To contribute to the archival and educational infrastructure for performing and cultural arts through digital and print initiatives. Activities and Scope We intend to work across the following domains: • Performing Arts: Theatre, classical and folk dance, music, storytelling traditions, experimental formats. • Cultural Expressions: Indigenous knowledge systems, ritual arts, linguistic heritage, oral traditions. • Academic Engagement: Critical writings, translations, symposia, public lectures, and pedagogy. • Publishing and Documentation: Print and digital journals, curated anthologies, artist monographs, research-driven books. • Outreach and Advocacy: Collaborations with cultural institutions, universities, independent practitioners, and community groups.
