Aksharavanam

Aksharavanam is an alternative education platform located in Kalawakurthy, Telangana. An educational research center that focuses solely on educating children and developing practices where children themselves become the teacher. An equation that believes that each student brings something from the background they come from and meet here to practice a 'peer-to-peer' learning. This kind of learning adequately addresses students' educational and behavioural needs. A campus that sets itself apart with a mentoring method where once students are introduced to a concept, they then can explore the field and interest in that. With sports and extracurricular activities here are not just an 'extra' but an integral part of a student's development. Currently, around 70 children take part in this process and it has been one of great learning for them. The mentors also have a rather fruitful experience with their time spent with the children can be seen in the outcome of how well children perform. On a whole, while studying various new ways to introduce concepts from the fields of art, science, sports, humanities, students become a wholesome being at Aksharavanam.
