Established in 1998, Al Anwar Ceramics Tile Company SAOG is the first manufacturer of ceramic tiles in the Sultanate of Oman. The company started manufacturing ceramic tiles under the brand name “Al Shams”. The company is listed on the Oman stock market.
Based in Nizwa, the plant is well equipped with the state-of-the-art machinery and technical know-how of leading Italian companies with digital printing machines. In the last 20 years, Al Anwar commenced its journey with a single production line with a capacity of 6000 SQM per day to five production lines with a total installed capacity of 55,000 SQM per day.
The Company has the largest Third Firing unit of its kind in the region producing listellos, decors and skirtings, as well as pencils and molded borders. The company has been consistently rated as the top 3 ceramics manufacturing companies in GCC.
Al Shams has a strong presence in all the GCC countries. The products are exported to more than 20 countries in the Middle East and Africa.
Al Shams is the proud recipient of the prestigious His Majesty’s Cup Award in addition to winning the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) Shield for highest value addition.
At Al Shams, strict quality control measures are in place to ensure every Al Shams tile is crafted to perfection. An ISO 9001:2000 quality certification in 2006 was a recognition of this fact. Quality coupled with an efficient dealer network has made Al Shams the largest-selling ceramic tile brand in GCC.
