A Montessori Primary School with Nursery with a Muslim faith ethos for pupils age 3-11 years. The core values underpinning the school are Truth, Freedom and Excellence. The natural burning curiosity which pupils enter the classroom with at 3 years old is nurtured and re-ignited through inspirational and memorable key learning experiences through a cosmic education centred on the Great Lessons which provide answers to the 5 big existential questions in life which are: Where everything comes from? Who owns everything? How do we know that? What are we supposed to do? and Where are we going? Pupils learn about the WOW moments in history including the 'Creation of the Univserse', the 'Coming of Life', the 'Coming of Man' the 'Story of Writing' and the 'Story of Number' using an inspirational storytelling approach. Pupils are provided with a beautiful and natural indoor and outdoor learning environment to enable pupils to be independent, to concentrate and to collaborate with one another to nurture a life long love for learning. Pupils learn at their own rate, according to their needs and interests and have the freedom to choose their learning with the guiding hand of the teacher. Montessori teachers act as facilitators directing pupil learning through the use of personalised learning plans whilst ensuring that all pupils cover the core primary curriculum in the full subject range. The school employs a positive discipline approach which is based on the prophetic sunnah, a gentle approach to the nurturing of the child whilst setting clear and firm boundaries.
