Albany Academy

Albany Academy is a highly successful co-educational 11-16 school in Chorley and is one of the top performing non-selective schools in Lancashire. Opened in 1960, we celebrated our 6oth anniversary in 2020. As a small school we are able to ensure that every one of our students is well known and cared for. The school not only provides an exceptional academic education, but also develops young people as confident individuals who are aware of their role and responsibilities within society. Albany Academy is a forward-thinking school and has specialist status in science and was one of the first schools in the country to convert to academy status. The school is the founding member of the Albany Learning Trust, the first Trust of its type in Lancashire.
