Alberta Immigrant Mentorship Network

The Alberta Immigrant Mentorship Network supports organizations to launch career mentoring programs in rural and small urban centers. AIMN is led by the Edmonton Region Immigrant Employment Council. Using a Rapid Start Up model with organizational mentoring at its core, the AIMN team supports organizations to customize their career mentoring program to fit the needs of their community, connecting the businesses and immigrants who live in their community. Starting from a pilot in 2019, we invest in a culture of mentorship across Alberta, providing free resources and online professional development opportunities for organizations creating mentorship programs and template resources they can use for mentors, mentees, and employers. AIMN is made possible in part through the support of the Government of Alberta. At AIMN, we seek partnerships to raise the profile of career mentoring, a key mechanism for economic inclusion for newcomers and a bridge to talent for Alberta employers.
