ALCANNA (and our predecessor companies) has been a leader in the retail liquor industry since 1993. In September 2004, we became the first liquor store income trust in Canada, and later converted to a corporation in 2010 as Liquor Stores N.A. Ltd. In 2022, ALCANNA was acquired by Sundial Growers Inc. (Nasdaq: SNDL) and we look forward to growing stronger together.
In May 2018, we changed our name to ALCANNA. The new name reflects the expansion of our business into two divisions: alcohol and cannabis. By combining the words "Alcohol" and "Cannabis", the new name better reflects our new strategic direction. The change in name also signals a transformational change in our strategy and objective to strive for growth and innovation.
At ALCANNA we offer our employees a career to celebrate. We operate over 240 retail stores with new locations coming soon! Our brands include Liquor Depot in Alberta and British Columbia, Wine and Beyond in Alberta, Ace Liquor in Alberta, and Brown Jug in Alaska.
