Alcon Marepha is a South African based company specialising in manufacturing of Overhead Aluminium Power Conductors. The company is 100% black owned and black women owned and is a BBBEE level 1 contributor. The company was established in 2001 and has grown from a staff compliment of 30 when it was first established, to 130 employees, of which 98% is black. The company has continuously invested in several transformation and empowerment initiatives to develop the cable industry in South Africa. Since its inception, Alcon Marepha, is an approved manufacturer and supplier of Aluminium Power conductors, has supplied state own enterprises (SOEs) which include Eskom, Transnet, and various municipalities through contractors. It also has a wide customer base that extends into Africa.
