Building a relationship When you ask someone to trust you to do anything, first, you need to establish some connection with that person. The same thing goes when you make a video, build a website, or ask someone for help. Without that bond of trust, nobody is going to put their money or, in a lot of cases, their future in your hands. And that is what we do every time we design a website: we start to build that relationship through our words and understanding of what brought that visitor to your business website. We try to think, like your website's visitors, first, what brought them to you in the first place. Do they have a problem they don't know how to fix, what would they search for on Google to find out the answers to the questions they probably have? Can you relate to their situation and give them the answers to help them get back to a normal life? If your website can't begin to establish an emotional connection, they will find someone else who will. And the time you have to do this on your website is measured in seconds, this is what we do for every client. Because to use Google's search results effectively, we don't just have to understand the visitor's mindset. We need to have some understanding of the mindset of our client as well, because when we design a website, we need to design it from the perspective of what our client would say. Not the opinion of a website designer, for instance, if this is a site for a personal injury law firm. The visitor who might be struggling to understand what happened on the worst day of their life, doesn't give a dam about the opinion of a website designer. They want to hear from an injury attorney who is going to at least give them hope that life will, at some point, return to normal. Hopefully, this helps you understand a website that actually helps your bottom line is more than a few paragraphs about you and your staff, and how you spend your days.
