ALGENICS is a biotechnology company focused on innovative uses of microalgae to produce recombinant biotherapeutics. Our platform of synthetic biology AlgebiosysTM encompasses tools and technologies to efficiently generate stable strain of high-producing microalgal cells. This proprietary and patented platform allows the biomanufacturing of a broad range of therapeutics in our PTA cell line, including glycoproteins and cytotoxics.
ALGENICS was founded in 2008 as a spin-off from IFREMER (The French Research Institute for Exploitation of the Sea) and opened in 2009 its own facility in Nantes (France).
