ALIG Educational and Welfare Society (A Literacy Initiative Group)

A Literary Initiative Group is a small step towards a bigger objective: To see education make ‘The Difference’ within a family, community, society, country and globally. ALIG is an initiative to help and improve the educational standards of the disadvantaged and economically deprived. ALIG which was formally registered in Jharkhand, India in 2008, was established primarily to promote education and welfare activities among the weaker sections of the society. The organization intends to combine knowledge acumen with philanthropy and thereby facilitate quality and sustainable education. The goal of ALIG is to help improve ‘learning’ among the younger generation to contribute better towards India’s path of progress, development and prosperity. The organization also helps the marginalized sections of the community to develop vocational skills leading to self-employment. As Martin Luther King said ‘ I have a dream; we at ALIG also have a dream: A dream that one day the saplings that we nurture today will turn into the shade and fruit-bearing trees! A dream that one day today’s needy will fulfil the needs of others!
