Alilaguna S.p.A is the company that organises and manages the scheduled public water transport service between Marco Polo Airport, the Maritime Station and the historic centre of Venice, Giudecca, Lido and Murano, through 2 lines operating all year round (Blue Line and Orange Line) and a seasonal line (Red Line). It also runs a service connecting the historic centre of Venice to the islands of Murano, Burano and Torcello (Green Line). It can count on an extensive network of ticket offices, located at the Airport, Cruise Terminal, Zattere, San Marco, Rialto, Venezia Santa Lucia Railway Station, Tronchetto, Piazzale Roma and Lido di Venezia, as well as numerous retailers. Alilaguna's fleet comprises more than 50 boats, with capacities ranging from 15 to 130 people; some of them, mostly in service along the Grand Canal, have hybrid diesel/electric propulsion, the result of a decade of research and development. All boats are classified and certified by the R.I.Na. (Italian Naval Register), and are equipped with radar and a GPS system that allows constant monitoring of the fleet.
