We focus on civil and political rights, in particular on four major themes; arbitrary detention, enforced or involuntary disappearances, torture and extrajudicial executions. Our work is based mainly on communication of documented individual cases to the special procedures and the treaty bodies of the United Nations as well as our contacts with local intermediaries including victims and their families, lawyers and human rights defenders.
