Allergo was founded in 2019 to address the everyday challenges and risks faced by people living with severe food allergies and those who care for them. Every day, individuals, parents, carers, and friends find themselves asking questions such as: • Will a restaurant have an allergy friendly menu and, more importantly, an allergy friendly kitchen? • Will a theatre or stadium serve nut-based snacks in an enclosed space? • Will an airline ensure the cabin is free of airborne allergens? • Do others understand that even the smallest trace or smell of an allergen can be life threatening? However, at Allergo, we believe that it does not have to be this way. This is why we are developing an app that enables users to review and rate restaurants, public venues, and airlines in relation to how they address allergy risks. Our vision Share - Allergo aims to create a community of people affected by food allergies, including parents, carers, and friends to share information and tips about allergy friendly restaurants, public venues, and airlines around the world Educate - Through our community and the information shared within it, Allergo aims to educate the broader public about the serious risks faced by people with severe food allergies and how everyone can help to reduce those risks Change - By facilitating the sharing of information throughout our community and educating the broader public, Allergo will help to create an allergy friendly world
