Allin-Wayra is an international scientific initiative focused on advancing the use of small sensor technologies for atmospheric research, particularly in regions where air quality monitoring remains limited or absent.
Allin-Wayra (from Quechua: “good air” or “winds of change”) is an IGAC activity that brings together a global community of researchers, practitioners, and institutions committed to increasing the transparency, accessibility, and equity of sensor-based air quality measurements.
Our mission is to foster a diverse, inclusive community of practice that strengthens scientific understanding and local capacity to use low-cost sensors in ways that are robust, context-aware, and impactful. We support open science principles and environmental justice, with special emphasis on the Global South.

- Developing and promoting open-access tools and resources for data quality, processing, and use
- Collaborating on community-authored publications and guidelines
