Allowance is an app that gives users money to shop for free every month or so (an “allowance”). They can spend that money at partner stores, who give us a commission in exchange for the customers we send their way. Instead of giving rewards to customers on every purchase, we just give it to them up-front on behalf of our partners — far more incentivizing than rewards on a purchase-by-purchase basis — who then pay us back.
