Not renting it, prevents him from earning 1,6 million dollars. Besides, his machinery depreciates 9.000 USD a month. He wants to rent it, but he can't find the customers.
On the other hand, we have a small/medium farmer, who has his main source of income in agriculture. This small farmer has a few machineries, and those machineries are old, and do not help him sustaining his business model in a proper way. They need to rent highly technological machinery, but for this small medium farmer, it's pretty hard to find it within reasonable time and way.
