United for Ukraine (UFU) is an internationally operating non-profit
organisation founded on the third day of the full-scale Russian invasion
to provide emergency support to Ukrainians, both abroad and inside
Ukraine.
From the very beginning, UFU was built on the foundation of expertise
and technology-based solutions. Dozens of professionals — lawyers,
technologists, communicators, and humanitarians — came together
across continents to create a fast, scalable, and human-centred
response.
Established and launched in Switzerland in February 2022, UFU operates
internationally and has built a robust structure, processes and policies to
enable fast and effective operation. In 2023, recognising the need for a
local presence and cost optimisation, UFU established a Ukrainian legal
entity and began working with internally displaced persons (IDPs). By
December 2024, the Swiss entity was formally closed, transferring
payroll staff and operations to Ukraine.
Through established vetting procedures, UFU Platform became a
trusted ecosystem of verified information sources, trusted
partners, and communication channels.

static website — we are a living, real-time response to current
needs. We continuously analyse requests, update content, and
adapt structure — not reactively, but strategically. This allows us
to move faster than traditional institutions and large NGOs.
