ALMA Chicago

ALMA's vision is an Illinois in which members of the Latinx LGBTQ community are accepted and affirmed by their families and communities; are treated with fairness and equality in all spaces; have equal access to opportunities; are celebrated for the richness of their culture; and have equitable visibility and representation in leadership across sectors. ALMA's core activities are focused around three pillars: Advocacy, Leadership and Pride. Our advocacy efforts are centered around equality and fairness for the Latinx LGBTQ community, inclusive of immigrants and undocumented individuals. Our leadership efforts are centered around providing opportunities, mentorship and visibility to young adults identifying as members of the Latinx LGBTQ community. And our pride efforts are centered around creating spaces to celebrate and affirm Latinx LGBTQ culture, history and leaders.
