Almakúti

Almakúti Kft., founded in 1995, is a Hungarian company situated in the magnificent national park of Balaton - Felvidéki Nemzeti, it has at its disposal around 215 hectares of good quality soil. The soil quality at Almakúti Kft. is clean and the composition is suitable for cultivating fruit. The soil type is of the so-called ‘Löss’ soil variety often found in hilly areas. A territory of total 86 hectares is in use for apple production, which brings a yield of 4 - 4,5 million kg fruit per year. About 60% of the own crop is covered by hail nets. Further, the company has some long term co-operations with other producers of good quality, who also work according to the GLOBALGAP regulations. From these producers approximately 2.000 ton apples are purchased, which are stored, sorted, packaged and put on the market by Almakúti Kft. Almakúti Kft. has his own cold storage units with a capacity of 4.500 ton, from which 3.500 ton for ULO (Ultra Low Oxygen) storage.
