“Bringing Global Standards to a Local Industry"
Standards in the Bangladeshi food industry have always been low, but recent stories on food adulteration and total disregard for health and hygiene standards have taken it to a level where people have become normalized by it. Out of the sheer discontent from the way things were, Asif and Sayem, two fresh graduates from IBA-DU, set out to do something about it. Their vision is to disrupt the industry with one word: Excellence. Excellence in taste, quality, and service.
With restaurants cropping up like mushrooms all over the city, these two decided to enter a sector where the room for innovation is the most – catering. Over the past century, there has been no innovation in the catering industry even though many new markets have emerged. With fresh ideas and modern technology at their disposal, the founders dream of building a company that will bring global standards to a local industry.
The journey will not be an easy one, but Asif and Sayem are driven by the idea that life is all about making an impact, adding value to people’s lives. And what better way to bring change than through food!
