The Vorotek O Scope is a head-worn microscope with bright LED lighting. The uniqueness of the O Scope is that it brings your pupils together (reduces your IPD) in such a way that you can look with both eyes into narrow cavities with sharpness and depth. It is a great innovation for the ENT specialist, the audiologist and General Practitioner alike. ENT specialists describe it as an essential complement to the capital intensive and immobile operating microscope. And audiologists as an extension to their toolkit allowing them to perform procedures not possible with loupe glasses. The area in which the O Scope offers sharp vision is about 10 cm long (compared with the operation microscope which has appr. 2 cm). In the US and the UK, the O Scope has been introduced in recent years and is increasingly finding a place next to the operation microscope and magnifying glasses.
