Altaya Specialized Home and Support Services (ASHSS) provides emergency care, foster care, short term stabilization care, and long term care homes to children, youth, and families in the province of British Columbia. ASHSS works from a decolonial lens that honours the sacredness of preserving families.
Our mission is to provide high-quality, relationship-based services and support to children and youth with varying needs, as well as their families, to improve their well-being, build their inherent capacity and promote the preservation of families. We strive to be innovative in developing new services to meet the needs of young people, families, and funders. We strongly believe that it is a privilege to be invited to work alongside a young person and their family.
