The proposed Pinkenba Steel Mill is set to become Queensland’s first producer of clean, sustainable reinforcing steel, producing the lowest carbon reinforcement in the country. Leveraging global technology and having secured the Pinkenba site, the project aims to drive economic growth, community engagement, and local responsibility. Construction is set to begin in 2025, with operations expected to commence in 2027, setting new standards in the steel industry.
