Ateren Energy and Environment S.A. is an engineering consulting company, providing services in the areas of Energy and Environmental Analysis & Planning. Alteren S.A. was founded in 1992 at Thessaloniki, Greece, by Professional Engineers experienced in Alternative Energy methods and systems such as Energy Conservation and Rational Use of Energy (RUE) for industries, SMEs and buildings, application of Renewable Energy Sources (RES), reduction of environmental impacts of technology and advance of new technologies in industry, agriculture and residence. Alteren S.A. is working in the field of RUE, RES, and specifically in Energy Conservation, Energy & Environmental Management Systems and Energy & Eco-Auditing since 1992, with the purpose of assisting industry and organisations to implement energy and environmental investment projects. It has established working relations with the industry, the public sector, as well as with research institutes and academic institutes. For the realisation of the above, Alteren S.A., above other things, tries to exploit all the opportunities provided by Greek Development Laws and European Union Development & Technological Programmes. Alteren S.A. is staffed with experienced engineers who are involved both in several National and EU RUE and RES projects and in the design of Electrical and Mechanical installations in buildings and industrial premises. The members and collaborators of Alteren S.A. through their activities in the private, public and academic sector have the necessary knowledge and experience to provide all services with the highest quality. In the framework of continuous development of its services Alteren S.A. applies Environmental Management System, according to international standard ISO 14001:2004, which was certified by TÜV HELLAS (TÜV NORD) at June 2007.
