Alter International Youth Changemakers Network of simply 'Alter' is the international youth-led organization based in Bangkok, Thailand. Founded in October 2015 from the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative action plan back in Northern Illinois University. Alter base on the idea of youth can change or alter the society by their own actions; leadership, volunteerism, advocacy and awareness on various social problems. Alter aims to encourage and empowering youth to be part of the social issues in terms of education, environment, gender, political participation, youth and women empowerment.
Alter is simply mean change, or to be detailed according to the Cambridge Dictionary means to change something, usually slightly, or to cause the characteristics of something to change. Our mission is to empower youth on the awareness of social problems issue, focusing on the leadership training to make the children and youth step forward to be the leader on changing and altering the society with the solid actions and raise the voice of them in terms of education, gender, cultural, environmental, political and regional integration.
