Alternative Brands is a Strategy & Design Studio based in Shanghai - with an APAC clientele. Established in Early 2020, we are a small team of domain experts and cross-disciplinary talents - who love solving problems. We help our clients leverage consumer insights, cultural learnings, and identify new growth opportunities for their brands. We specialize in consumer facing brands (B2C & D2C), across all sizes: from early stage startups looking to scale up, to larger companies facing consumer driven growth challenges, that usually don't fall into typical & traditional agency mandates. We help break down complex questions into simple, actionable answers, that brand teams or founders can take forward and execute. Modern landscape has no room for old fashioned templates of working - brands pop up fast, shut down fast, try fast and fail fast. Add to this, an over-stretched marketing team that can barely scrape through day's deadlines. As a result, things get executed slower, or start looking inconsistent. What does it take to experiment faster without being shallow & gimmicky? This is where we step in, and we make strategy bite sized. We assimilate a lot of context, data, vision, goals, and translate a big, validated plan into smaller chunks that are executable. We streamline and solve. Think of us as an outsourced CMO. As of current year, 2024, we work on BRAND STRATEGY & DESIGN with early stage startups & their founders, as well as larger corporate brands and leaders: in either case, we ensure that your brand runs on consistent principles, that add up to its long-term story.
