ALUSID manufactures SilicaStone a new material made from 100% recycled glass and ceramic. Suitable for interiors and exteriors. We make all of our products by hand in our factory in our batch facility in Preston Lancashire. ALUSID was founded by David Binns and Alasdair Bremner with the vision to turn low value unwanted materials into beautiful products that architects and designers desired. Our unique products are between 98%-100% recycled materials, we can control the colour tone and texture of the material to create a genuine alternative to imported natural stone products. The low environmental impact production process, uses no chemicals or resin binders and the manufacturing process produces zero waste, this means that while we hope that our products will be used and enjoyed for years and decades to come, when our products come to the end of their useful life they themselves can be recycled within our process. ALUSID aims is to be a leader in the supply of premium engineered sustainable architectural materials and remain at the forefront of this growing sector through continual R&D to improve the material properties along with the development of new products and applications for the catalogue of materials already developed.
