Alzheimer's Germ Quest, Inc.

Alzheimer's Germ Quest, Inc. is a privately held company, founded in 2017 by Dr. Leslie Norins and his wife, Rainey. Alzheimer's Germ Inc. is advocating that 10% of the NIH's $2.3 billion budget is allocated to Alzheimer's germ research. The firm is completely independent, and not affiliated with or endorsed by any government agency, nonprofit group, pharmaceutical company, or other entity. Alzheimer's Germ Quest, Inc. is also sponsoring a challenge award of $1 million to an individual, or team of researchers that provides persuasive evidence—within 3 years— that a particular infectious agent is the cause of most Alzheimer’s disease. The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2020. The prize awardee will be announced no later than March 31, 2021.
