The Alzheimer's Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer's care, support and research. We provide care and support to those affected: The Alzheimer’s Association works on a global, national and local level to provide care and support for all those affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementias. We are here to help. We accelerate research and create a path for global process: As the largest nonprofit funder of Alzheimer's research, the Association is committed to accelerating the global progress of new treatments, preventions and ultimately, a cure. We advocate: The Association is the leading voice for Alzheimer's disease advocacy, fighting for critical Alzheimer's research, prevention and care initiatives at the state and federal level. We diligently work to make Alzheimer’s a national priority. About the South Carolina Chapter: The Alzheimer's Association South Carolina Chapter is the result of a 2006 merger of the Upstate South Carolina Chapter and the Palmetto Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. The unified statewide chapter serves the entire state of South Carolina through a network of local offices. Our mission: To eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.
