It lays about 414km away from Jazan Port on the Red Sea, connected to Najran by a newly paved road, and 835km away from Jeddah. The nearest communities of significant size are Khamis Mushayt which is 190km away, Abha to the West is 220km away and Najran to the South-East is approximately 100km away from the mine site.
